Alhamdulilah Diaries: Incorporating gratitude in our daily living🤲

In this month’s blog post, we will explore the beauty of daily living through the lens of gratitude and we want to hear your voices too! 'Alhamdulilah Diaries' is a new series whereby we can share moments in our lives that have led us to feel sincere gratitude. This can hopefully create an environment where we can inspire each other, learn from others and create a more conscious mindset. 🧠

In the hustle and bustle of life, embracing thankfulness can be a transformative journey for any Muslimah. So we invite you to join us on this exploration of how we can individually weave 'Alhamdulilah' into the fabric of our everyday existence.

We hope that in hearing each others 'Alhamdulilah Diary Entries' we can be more reflective and show gratitude to Our Creator, the way he is deserving to be shown.

May Allah allow this to be a positive aid for each other ameen. 🤍

So let's dive in to some of the ways we can show gratitude in our daily lives:

Morning Reflections:

Allah says in Surah Al Baqarah, Ayah 152: "So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me."

Begin your day with a grateful heart. Reflect on the blessings of a new day and the serenity of dawn prayers. Making morning athkaar aids in reflecting on your blessings from The All Giving

Family/ Relationship Moments of Gratitude:

Explore the significance of expressing gratitude within the family unit. Whether it's appreciating the support of loved ones, cherishing shared meals, or finding joy in simple conversations. Observing recent global events and the challenges faced by our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters, we appreciate the numerous ways our familial bonds and relationships are truly a blessing.

Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

إِنَّ مِنْ أَكْمَلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا وَأَلْطَفُهُمْ بِأَهْلِهِ

Verily, the most complete of believers in faith are those with the best character and who are most kind to their families.

Recognising the blessings you have as opposed to focusing on the things you don't is a great way to foster a conscious mindset that is mindful of the numerous blessings Allah has showered us with.

Navigating Challenges with Shukr:

Life presents challenges, big and small. Cultivating gratitude can be a powerful tool in facing difficulties. This involves cultivating a mindset that appreciates the lessons and opportunities presented by difficulties.

Embracing gratitude amidst challenges allows individuals to harness resilience, gain insights, foster personal growth and more importantly bring closeness to Allah. By acknowledging the positive aspects even in the face of adversity, this can transform obstacles into stepping stones and a journey of gratitude.

Allah mentions in Surah Ibrahim, Ayah 7: "And ˹remember˺ when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more..."

Just imagine what our lives would look like if we fostered this level of gratitude.

Acts of Kindness:

Taking a moment to explore the impact of small acts of kindness within the community and how it strengthens the bonds of sisterhood. Whether it be a simple smile, a telephone number exchange or a treated meal, acts of kindness come with great impact and great rewards biithnillah.

Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Shall I not tell you upon whom the Hellfire is forbidden tomorrow? It is everyone gentle, lenient, accessible, and easy-going.”
